Kenya is one of the easiest and most rewarding safari destinations in Africa. Nairobi is well connected internationally, the main parks are accessible by road or short flights, and there is accommodation for every budget.

Getting around
Road safaris use a 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof and a professional driver-guide. Fly-in safaris use light aircraft from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, saving time and adding a spectacular aerial view — note the 15 kg soft-bag luggage limit.
How long?
Three days is enough for a taste of the Maasai Mara. A week lets you combine two or three parks; ten days or more allows a beach extension or northern Kenya.
Practicalities
Most visitors need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before travelling. Yellow fever vaccination may be required depending on your route, and malaria precautions are recommended for most safari areas — consult a travel clinic.
